And of 7! This Friday, the prince Jacques and the princess Gabriella celebrate their 7 years. A birthday that the twins must unfortunately spend for the first time without their mother. Princess Charlene is indeed still in convalescence far from the principality. Prince Albert speaks about this.
After having already spent a large part of the year without their mother, Prince James and Princess Gabriella are forced to blow out their candles without her. This December 10, 2021, the children of Prince Albert of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene are indeed celebrating their 7th birthday. Unfortunately, the twins spend this birthday without their mother, still recovering in a specialized center outside the principality.
Despite this, the 43-year-old former swimmer took to her Instagram account to celebrate the event from afar. “Happy birthday my babies. Thank you God for blessing me with such wonderful children. I am truly blessed. Love you mommy,” she wrote in the caption of her post. In the photos accompanying her post, James and Gabriella appear all smiles in their chic pajamas, in a balloon-decorated living room of the royal palace, in front of a pretty birthday cake. But the festivities are far from over …
With People magazine on Friday, Prince Albert commented on the painful absence of his wife on this day of celebration. Although she returned from South Africa in early November, after long months of recovery, Charlene of Monaco remains very weakened by her serious health problems. Despite this, the 63-year-old sovereign hopes that his children will soon be able to visit their mother: “This is what we hope for the most, but there is no specific date at the moment.” In the meantime, the prince is compensating for this absence as best he can, in particular by preparing a big birthday party for his two little blonde heads.
A party is indeed planned on Saturday at the palace, with the cousins of James and Gabriella, as well as the few friends who are now schooled with them at “home”. To People, Albert of Monaco revealed the theme of the party: “They will have seen the decorations of SpongeBob SquarePants in an entrance of the courtyard, so they can have suspicions. But they haven’t seen the party room yet.” Two years ago, the twins had indeed testified to their passion for the famous character at the 59th Monte Carlo Television Festival!
As for gifts, Prince Albert admits he hasn’t completely finished shopping. “I have a few ideas in mind,” he admits. “To be honest, I’m working more on their Christmas gifts.” In fact, Jacques and Gabriella could reappear on December 15, during the traditional Christmas party held at the palace, during which the young Monegasques receive gifts from the Grimaldi family.
