The famous Rose Ball, organized every year by Princess Caroline of Hanover, has been postponed for almost four months, due to the health conditions in the principality, we learn in a press release.

The Rose Ball has existed since 1954. It was Princess Grace of Monaco who created it to support her foundation, the Princess Grace Foundation, which works to help disadvantaged children. Today, the ball is presided over by Prince Albert and Princess Caroline of Hanover. It is also the latter who organizes it. Hard blow for her, the 2022 edition is worried by the health situation in the country, as learned from a statement of the Society of Sea Baths of Monaco, published this Thursday, January 20: “The Rose Ball, originally scheduled for March 19, has been postponed, due to health conditions, to Friday, July 8, 2022.”

Princess Caroline had chosen Christian Louboutin to be the artistic director of this new edition of the Bal de la Rose. Its theme is “the 20s, the return”. So it’s only a postponement, but the ball is still postponed by almost four months, which may worry about the health situation on the Rock. In addition, an exhibition dedicated to Christian Louboutin will open the day after the ball, “L’Exhibition[niste]”, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, between July 9 and August 28, 2022.

The female presence of the Royal family

Since Princess Charlene is recovering, it is Caroline, Albert’s sister, who provides the royal family with a strong female presence. In addition to taking care of her nephews Jacques and Gabriella, Charlotte, as well as her other sister StĂ©phanie, remain close to the Prince Regent. They try to make up for Charlene’s absence during official events by surrounding their brother, Albert, whether in Monaco or even abroad. Caroline has notably shone by her presence in Dubai, during the Universal Exhibition where Monaco was honored, or at the 52nd edition of the International Bouquet Competition organized by the Garden Club in Monaco.
