Pillar of the Grimaldi family, Caroline of Monaco delayed the return of Charlene of Monaco on the stage. No link with a supposed rivalry. Her fear would be that she would collapse in public.
Woman’s Day magazine also questions the absence of the wife of Prince Albert of Monaco, and wonders if the palace was hiding the seriousness of Princess Charlene’s illness?
“Charlene was under pressure in Monaco – she was criticized, observed, judged and upset,” confided a close source who spoke on condition of anonymity.
However, there is no question of family pressure, or a supposed enmity with Caroline of Monaco, very often presented as a rival.
The Australian magazine reports mainly a media pressure.
And then relay a confidence supposedly delivered by Caroline of Monaco herself.
“It is too early for her to play the perfect princess. She may burst into tears in public, or worse,” she reportedly said.
Charlene of Monaco has melted like snow and is said to be feeding only through a straw.
Her worrying condition was confirmed by Prince Albert of Monaco, who spoke to People.
“She realized she needed help. You can’t force anyone to understand that they need treatment, they have to accept it themselves,” he explained. “She hadn’t slept well for several days and she wasn’t eating well. She has lost a lot of weight, which makes her vulnerable to other potential illnesses.”
